Hepatitis C is our nation’s deadliest bloodborne infectious disease, yet many state Medicaid programs have discriminatory restrictions that keep Americans from being cured and stop us from ending the epidemic.
* As of January 2023, the following 19 Medicaid programs have removed prior authorization for most patients entirely: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin.
